San Francisco

We went to San Francisco over the Fourth of July and had a really fun time! We did A LOT of sightseeing and were constantly on the go!

San Francisco is a really cool city. I loved the public transportation...it is so comfy and clean. And the cable cars are just fun. We did however walk all the way from Union Square to Pier 39 and back on July 4th. All types of public transportation were swamped with people, so we just walked. I'm not sure we realized just how far we had to go. BUT, it was very good exercise to work off the major amounts of eating we did on the trip.

While we were there we toured Alcatraz, did sightseeing at Pier 39 (where the cute sea lions hang out), Ghirardelli Square, and Fisherman's Wharf, went to Napa Valley and visited a few wineries, went to lunch at the Culinary Institute of America, toured Muir Woods (home of some very large redwood trees), went to a Giants game on the 4th, saw fireworks at Pier 39, shopped all over Union Square, and ate at some cool places.

It was a very fun time with family and a great break from the Texas heat!
